Our Story
Green Empowerment For Development (Himam Khadra Organization) was founded to address two deeply connected challenges in Yemen: the exclusion of children with disabilities and the growing threats to the environment.
Many children with disabilities face limited access to education, care, and social inclusion, while environmental degradation continues to impact community health and future generations. We believe these issues must be addressed together to achieve sustainable development.
Our organization works with families, schools, and local communities to empower children with disabilities through inclusive education, rehabilitation, and psychosocial support. At the same time, we implement environmental initiatives such as tree planting, recycling, and environmental awareness activities that promote responsibility and sustainability.
What makes Green Empowerment NGO unique is our integrated approach—where children with disabilities are active participants in environmental and community programs, not just beneficiaries.

Green Empowerment For Development delivers integrated humanitarian and development programs that empower children with disabilities while promoting environmental sustainability across Yemeni communities.
Our work focuses on three core areas:

We support children with disabilities through inclusive education, rehabilitation services, psychosocial care, and the provision of assistive devices. We also work closely with families and caregivers to strengthen their capacity and promote social inclusion.
